Storage, Resource Warehousing & Logistics Hubs

Central warehousing and automated distribution systems inside hollowed asteroids — the “heart” that stores raw ISRU materials, finished goods, spare parts, and supplies for the entire base and fleet.

Purpose

Provide massive, organised, and easily accessible storage for all materials and goods, enabling efficient distribution to manufacturing, life support, docking, and expansion zones while minimising waste and downtime.

Key Functional Requirements

  • Large-scale climate-controlled storage chambers for raw regolith, refined metals, volatiles, and finished components
  • Automated robotic retrieval and sorting systems integrated with internal transport
  • Modular racking and container systems compatible with Universal Modular Platform standards
  • Real-time inventory tracking and ASI-optimised stock management
  • Secure, segregated zones for hazardous materials and high-value items
  • Direct material-flow connections to on-site manufacturing and docking facilities
  • Redundant environmental control (temperature, pressure, radiation shielding) for long-term storage
  • Expansion-ready design — new chambers can be hollowed and added as stockpiles grow

Operational Integration

These hubs are constructed after on-site manufacturing and internal transport are operational. They become the central logistics backbone that keeps the base self-sufficient and ready for rapid growth.
